things about stuff
hi, welcome to small spoon by me, Riddhi Dastidar.
disambiguation: of energy (from spoon theory by Christine Miserandino)/ of sugar makes the medicine go down / an orientation in which you feel safe and loved / a taste of something you're not sure about / this newsletter
I write things and live in Delhi. Things I write: fiction, essays, reportage and poems (archived here). Things that are stranger than a pitch or that I’m still thinking through, find their way into this newsletter. This used to be a tinyletter but that made visual art formatting too difficult so here we are.
I work on mad/disability/gender studies. I am disabled — I live with OCD. I am queer and genderweird and feel disembodied a lot of the time; they/she are both fine. A lot of my creative obsessions therefore revolve around the axis of the body — both its violences and joys. I am always very worried about climate change and intrigued by how to bring joy and material ease into all our lives. I thrive on good faith.
